2c of A/P flour
1 1/2 tsp Baking powder
1 1/2 tsp salt
2 tsp cold butter
1/2 c solid vegetable shortening
1 c milk

Preheat oven to 400. In a large mixing bowl combine the flour,BP,and salt. Mix well. Add 1 tsp of butter and the shortening into the dry ingredients stir in the milk. Dust your work surface with flour. Take the dough and start folding it into itself about 10 times. Roll the dough to about 1 inch thickness. Using a biscuit cutter or glass,dip them into some flour then cut the biscuit. Place biscuits on the baking tray and let sit for 15 minutes to rest. Bake for about 15 minutes or until golden brown. While they bake melt the rest of butter and brush on top of the hot biscuits when they come out.
