A TRUE New Orleans treasure, Hubig's pies has made a FANTASTIC return under the most trying conditions thanks to fabulous employees, wonderful product and the true grit and determination of the Ramsey and Bowman families. If you are not familiar with Hubig's, it is a wonderful fried, glazed pie that treats your sweet tooth with the kind of respect it seldom is rewarded. Those from Louisiana know Hubig's now why not find out for yourself....give it a try, your stomach will appreciate it! Remember it the American thing to do to support our friends families and businesses in New Orleans that are trying to Raise the Phoenix baby!

Operation Bake Me A Wish is a very worthwhile organization that will help make your soldier feel a little more special when they are away from home. Anything we can do to help make our soldiers lives more "normal" I feel we owe it to them. Wether you know someone overseas or not, check out this site and see what you can do to make our troops feel as speial as we know they are. This is a WINNER.

Variety Entertainment is the best deal going if you like dine out a lot or a little. The lady who owns this is VERY connected with the restaurant industry in Atlanta and really has some incredible restaurants you have heard of and restaurants you may not have heard of. Nanci Simon has done an amazing job of getting great eating spots for you. VE has also expanded to get you free parking at the airport and discounts for the Atlanta Symphony, Shoot the Hooche....it's an excellent buy. Check this out and you will thank Chef and the Fatman forever baby!

Cajun Meat Company is the real deal my friends. Owners Chad and Calvin are from the now devastated Plaquemines Parish, just south of New Orleans, they have the BEST AUTHENTIC Cajun cuisine outside of Lafayette baby. Cajun Meat Company has it all...Boudin, gumbos made up to take home, we had pork chops stuffed with crawfish dressing for dinner recently with a side of chicken sausage (a must try). If you love Cajun cuisine you will thouroughly enjoy your trip to Cajun Meat Company in Marietta. They'll wrap it all up for you to take home to your Big Green Egg, food, fun and a celebration of the Cajun culinary style at the Cajun Meat Company....Cajun French is welcome anytime. We will be cooking up a deboned chicken with crawfish dressing this weekend...or maybe a Turducken...hmmmmmm. They also have Tony Chachere's, Savoie's, Zapp's and everything in between!

This very compelling book is a must read and a must have for anyone who had visited, dreamed of visiting or just wish they had spent time in New Orleans. Having just finished reading "1 Dead in Attic", this amazing book made me cry, smile and most importantly kept me wanting to continue this harrowing four month journey with author Chris Rose. The book is a compilation of columns written in post "thing" (Katrina) for the newspaper of record in La. The Times-Picayune. You will "see" the devastated streets and homes, you will "feel" the pain, desperation and horror of returning New Orleanians. Through these riveting columns you will be touched by the heart, spirit and sorrow at the destruction of this Great City, you will "smell" the streets (and the refrigerators) but more importantly you will be introduced to the REAL New Orleans, the PEOPLE, as seen through the eyes of this gifted journalist. Warning....Read only if you have loved ones within close proximity (including cats)...a serious reevaluation of priorities is coming. This inevitable reevaluation is just one of the many reasons you need to pick up the book and actually meet Chris in person in Hapeville, Ga May 19th. We will have more information as it becomes available. Psst tell your new friends from New Orleans that "a Home Boy" is a comin, they will love you for it.

J. D. Diggs BBQ Sauce is flat the "best" commercially produced bbq sauce we have eaten. It's got plenty of flavor juuuust a little "kick" and once you try it you'll want to put it on everything....including Corn Flakes. Well, maybe not Corn Flakes, there not good enough for the sauce. This is a 70 year old family recipe from the famous "The Pig" restaurant in Jesup GA. These "Luscious Ladies of Sauce" rock, Diana Aspinwall (who's family owned "The Pig") and her dynamic partner Jody Tarleton have taken the "Sauce" to the streets for the peeps....we hope you'll try it! These are GA gals from Conyers we at Chef and the Fat Man are always proud to promote OUTSTANDING GA products. Let's shop at home first! Here is a Chef's tip....mix this sauce with White Oak Pastures grassfed ground beef or just top the burger with this awesome sauce....cook it on the Big Green Egg or wherevah and voila....the best burgers, cooked with the best meat, combined with the best sauce and grilled on the best "ultimate cooking device"....and there you truly have GA's best!

Wow, what a treat and what a gift for coffee lovers. This incredible coffee is truly "unique" and wonderfully enticing. The rich aroma, the smooooothness, the full flavored but mild taste makes this coffee a true treasure to coffee aficionados as well as those who just love a great cup. What makes this product even more fantastic is the beautiful packaging, the first class service and the unique and fun way in which this coffee arrives. We have shown it to a number of people and they were all impressed with the first class and magnificent way in which Luwak is presented. If you have a true coffee lover in your life, then baby, this coffee is for them! This product is "certified" to be the real deal, Troy and the staff have gone all out to make absolutely sure that your product is "better" than you could ever have imagined. The first class service, the fabulous presentation, the certification by the world's foremost authority as well as the GUARANTEE make this a truly fabulous source for this wonderfully unique and flavorful coffee. Please check out the site...you'll love it. This Australian company truly represents the very best the "Downunder" has to offer.

My friends if you are looking for the perfect all around grill tool that is functional as well as an extremely well built tool then look no further than the Billy Bar. This is a grill lifter, grill cleaner (the nicest feature is you can clean while grill is hot) and I'm sure you can come up eith other uses. This is a privately owned company out of our neighbors to the North Tennessee and has the superb quality craftsmanship that you would expect to find in the Smokey Mountain region. These folks are serious about their grill tools and anyone who's used one (like we have) get's one for themselves and several for "grillies" they love. It is probably the best valued tool you will ever buy. Do not think you will buy just one...the Billy Bar is a Grillmasters best friend....and it's really a sharp looking piece also.

The King of Mixology now shares the "best of the best" knowledge for the world of adult beverages. This is a MUST HAVE if you want to dazzle your friends and family on the ART of mixing the perfect beverage....perfectly!

Vienna Beef products and Bistro Soups are the "best of" when it comes to there selective category. In Atlanta it is hard to find all of the products. Never fear my friends....check out this site and possibly even get some "Weenie Wear". I'll have my Vienna Dog "dragged through the garden"!

LeenersWhen you want to make it yourself, hot sauces, mustards, candies, vinegars, cheeses, wines and many other things. This is the one stop shop. Check out this site. It rocks.

Union Oyster House Although we have never eaten here the reports have been great. We cooked the Peoples Choice Award for Best Clam Chowder in Boston for 2004 and we see why. There menu is simple but loaded and the Milano Family is very proud of there extremely fresh and wonderful food. Check it out next time you are in Boston....but go hungry baby.

Geno's Steaks Geno's is in our humble opinion the BEST CHEESE STEAK EVER! We tested several including the other place across the street and Geno's rocked our world. Extremely clean Joe Vento his son Geno will give you a truly memorable Phillie experience. If you go to Philadelphia and don't experience Geno's....you haven't been to Phillie!
